How do I vet a vendor or spot a scam?
pepmg won't label any vendor a scam, but it does surface the checkable factors a careful buyer weighs. Testing transparency is the big one: does the vendor publish a Certificate of Analysis, and are the results lab-hosted (on the testing lab's own site) rather than self-hosted or unattributed. Price is another: a $/mg far below the median for a compound, or an unusually wide spread across vendors, is worth a second look rather than an automatic bargain.
One of the few objective, hard-to-fake signals is how long a vendor has actually been online — outright scam shops rarely last, while established stores have a reputation to protect. pepmg resolves each vendor's domain registration date and earliest web archive and shows the earlier as a rough “online since,” with two honest caveats: it is the domain's age, not proof of how long the business has run, and it is a weak signal weighted lightly, never a safety verdict. Vetting a source before you buy is genuinely yours to do; pepmg makes the evidence easy to find and honestly labeled.
